Bri Agenbroad grew up in an urban environment, but her passion for wildlife ecology was ignited after accepting a life-changing career as a kayak guide in Alaska.

My name is Annie Walgren and I am from Laramie, WY. I am a senior at the University of Wyoming studying Microbiology and Molecular Biology. In the Wyoming Water Bear Lab, Annie’s research focuses on the unique ability of tardigrades to survive in extreme environments.

Dani is working with postdoctoral researcher, Dulcinea Groff, in the Shuman Lab. They are researching factors that may influence interpretations of paleoclimate proxies using sedges (a grass-like plant) in the Rocky Mountains.

Vincent currently works as an Undergrad Research Fellow in the Computations for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Laboratory (CAMML) under Dr. Zhang. His current research focuses on the application of Physics Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) for modeling solid mechanics problems.

Tera and her research team observe transiting exoplanets. Exoplanets are planets in stellar systems outside our solar system. As they orbit their respective stars, information can be gathered to determine their characteristics such as size, temperature, mass and more.

Cole’s doctoral research focuses on utilizing isotope geochemistry (i.e., minor variations in a rock’s chemical signature) to answer questions regarding the formation and evolution of basaltic lava flows, a darkly-colored volcanic rock, associated with the Yellowstone supervolcano.

My undergraduate research through the Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium looks at how type 1 diabetes influences the reproductive health of swine that are just about to enter puberty (peripubertal).

Max’s work focuses on developing a novel method of storing blood clotting factors and other biologic pharmaceuticals in a dry state at ambient temperature without the need for cold-chain refrigeration, freezing, or lyophilization.

Kalley Collins is an undergraduate student at UW studying Geology and Anthropology. She works in Dr. Ellen Currano’s paleobotany lab and looks at the isotopic ratios of bulk carbon and nitrogen in modern leaf fossils.

My name is Zoë Short and I am from Douglas, WY. I have always loved to observe and care for animals, and I have volunteered, worked, and fostered for both Laramie Peak Humane Society in Douglas and Laramie Animal Welfare Society in Laramie. My major is zoology, which is fitting with my love for animals.
